Summer School

“a wonderful week of learning and fellowship”

In 2018, Chalmers Institute took over running what was formerly the Christian Heritage Cambridge Summer School. In 2019, this was relocated to Edinburgh and participants enjoyed a wonderful week of learning and fellowship in the heart of Edinburgh, overlooking Princes Street in the Edinburgh Theological Seminary building.

The Edinburgh Summer School is a partnership between Chalmers Institute and Covenant Theological Seminary and is a week-long Summer School that combines the best theological resources with application to the Church’s discipleship and mission.

The Summer School is distinctive in offering learning in fellowship with instructors who embody what they teach. The goal is for students to gain a deeper understanding of who God is, how to understand the Bible, what God has called us to do as his people, and how to engage our neighbours with his life-giving message.

The 2019 Summer School was taught by Dr. Jack Collins (Psalms & Wisdom Literature) and Professor Jerram Barrs (Engaging Contemporary Challenges to Christianity). You can listen to the talks here and to the evening public lectures (including lectures by Dr Mark Stirling and Dr Andy Bannister) here.
